Sales Administrator


Job Title: Sales Administrator
Responsible to: Sales Team Leader
Employees Responsible for: None
Location: Craigdon Business Gifts (Inverurie)

Overall Purpose

  • Work closely with external Account Managers to maximise sales for the company
  • Servicing allocated customer accounts through provision of quotations and placement of sales orders
  • Monitoring progress of customer orders and quotations
  • Increasing overall sales through customer contact, promoting special offers, and prospecting where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions with customers
Key Result Areas
  • General tele-sales admin duties, responding to incoming calls/emails from customers
  • Sales prospecting via phone/email as necessary to assist increasing overall sales
  • Encourage additional customer expenditure
  • Handle customer queries
  • Handle customer complaints in accordance with QA procedures
  • Process orders and quotations when required and respond to any resultant actions
  • Ensure new contacts are logged on database and old information is deleted
  • Maintaining information on allocated customer accounts and contact on a regular basis
  • Ensure any customer specific requirements are met.
  • Monitor progress of customer orders
  • Advise customers of special promotions and liaising with the Marketing Dept as appropriate
  • Complete necessary QA documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures

Ensure work area(s) is/are kept tidy and the floor areas are kept free of hazards

Responsible for adhering to the company’s environmental policy, which includes waste segregation, energy saving initiatives and any other environmental objectives set by the company

Immediately report any safety issues to the Sales Team Leader

Ad-hoc duties as required
